It all starts with a vision.

When we were challenged to create a video to showcase Oak Bay’s fabulous four-season lifestyle, we were convinced that telling the story through people living the dream would be far more effective than a collage of stock shots and lifestyle imagery. (So “been there, done that”.)  We wanted to create a robust story that takes the viewer through the experience personally. Our script begins with a single woman arriving at her new home at Oak Bay. She’s a little uneasy at first, until she steps into her home and takes in its incredible beauty. She connects with a single guy, she becomes part of the community and she and her beau participate in all of the many summer and winter activities to enjoy in this community.

The video is positive, upbeat, energetic and reflects the lifestyle provided by this stellar community of upscale homes on a golf course on the shores of Georgian Bay.

We entered the video in The Nationals – the most prestigious Builder Awards on the continent. When we won Silver – which is basically the short list for the final Gold award, we and our client Eden Oak were blown away. To be among the most professional videos produced for developers in Canada and the USA was breathtaking. When the announcement came that the Oak Bay video had actually won GOLD we were, to put it mildly, gobsmacked! Delighted, happy, elated – that all came later!

What does this mean for the future? As the vitality of videos on websites, in sales centres and on social media increases, 52 Pick-up is poised to create more award-winning videos for our clients. We have the vision, the expertise and the capability to do it. Give us a call!
