Design Hope Toronto 2013 will be holding its eighth annual art auction and gala on April 5, to raise money and awareness for those in need. The small group of volunteers has raised over $100,000 in the past, proving anyone can make a difference if they have the drive and passion to ignite them.
This year’s event will include the usual auction, raffle and gala, but they’ll also be hosting a silent auction, consisting of 25 works of art based on the theme of shelter, and all donated by local artists.
CBC Radio’s Marcia Young will be returning to host and Bill Kime of Waddington’s will once again be the live auctioneer. Money will be raised for the Parkdale Activity-Recreation Centre (PARC) and Edmond Place.
It’s win, win, win! You’ll be walking away with a one-of-kind piece of art, while supporting talented local artists and contributing to an important cause.
Design Hope Toronto 2013 will be on Friday, April 5 2013 from 7-10 pm at St. John’s Parish Hall on Cowan Ave (just below Queen St) in Parkdale.
